Orders & Payments
We can deal direct but generally if you have a preferred dealer they can make the process easier & quicker. Being a manufacturing plant we have to do things a bit differently to retail stores.
As we are a manufacturing plant we need to do things a little differently than retail stores so all orders need to be placed and confirmed in writing/email before work orders are generated.
Unfortunately, we do not accept credit cards over the phone, we have direct deposit details on our invoices and we can also send you a PayPal link that you can use.
All of our bars are model specific, and made to order. Generally, the manufacturing time is 3 weeks for black bars and 5 weeks for polished bars (all polishing is done by hand on site, so it can take a bit longer).
Depending on the size and style of bar and other variables like clamping area or if the bar requires a speedo mount some options are unable to be made for example for some model bikes that have ⅞” clamping or controls the thickest bar we can make is 1¼”.
Yes we do! Let us know if you would like to buy a handlebar or a gift voucher for a loved one and we can definitely help!
Shipping & Delivery
You are welcome to pick up from our factory just notify us that is what you would like to do, and we can then contact you when your order is completed and arrange a time to collect.
The price for shipping will vary depending on your location. Generally for express post the price is between $40AUD to $80AUD for delivery within Australia and $120AUD for international delivery.
We use Australia Post for all International deliveries but if the client would like to book their own freight forwarder they can.
Returns & warranties
Our commitment to customer satisfaction extends beyond the initial purchase, which is why we offer a seven-year manufacturer’s direct warranty. These warranties serve as a testament to the quality and reliability of our products, and our commitment to standing behind them.
We do not return or exchange cable/wiring/line kits under any circumstances, partly due to the cost of shipping. Our lengths are proven for running factory course but each installer can install differently & as we cannot control this we have our set lengths & for anything different the onus is on the installer to decide their preferred lengths & banjo fittings prior to ordering. Any return will incur a 50% restocking fee.
Bars cannot be returned without written authorisation from Burleigh Bars management. Return items are subject to a 50% restocking fee at our discretion, and you must pay the shipping cost to return it to our facility.
Fitment & Installation
Depending on the model of your bike we are unable to step the bar down to suit stock OEM risers. Our risers are also specifically designed for high rise bars. They are aircraft grade alloy matched to the stainless steel bars & engineered to handle the extra torque displacement on the clamping surface area generated by the extra torque of high rise bars. In short they do not add height just strength, integrity & a larger clamping surface area made from a higher grade material.
We always recommend qualified install, the reason is if installation is done incorrectly, failure can be potentially fatal. We have authorised dealers all over the world so we will be happy to try and recommend a qualified installer for you.
Just to illustrate on one model say a Breakout, a fat bar that fits a 13-14 breakout will not fit any later breakouts, a fat bar that fits a 15 breakout will not fit any breakout earlier or later, a fat bar that fits a 16-17 breakout will not fit any earlier or later breakouts, a fat bar that fits a 18-23 breakout will not fit any earlier breakouts & that is just 1 model without touching on CVO models or personally modified bikes which are totally different again.
Due to our engineering certifications all of our bars need to be destructively tested and made to our approved specifications so unfortunately we are unable to make 1-off custom bars outside of our current range.
That will depend on the model type of your bike and the bar size you have but if extended cables and wiring will be needed our experience staff will be able to let you know.
As concealed wiring may be damaged in transit we do not pre-wire bars and recommend that installation is done by a qualified technician.
Our 304 grade stainless-steel has 18″% chromium and the benifit of polished stainless-steel over chroming mild steel is that alot of the nicks or marks from wear and tear on your stainless-steel bar can be buffed out unlike chrome bars not to mention the fact that they will never rust!
Yes, our bars are TUV approved and a certification number can be provided.
